This event is intended to be a community awareness activity. Great Bridge Chapter is leading this event. Please help us have a good turnout. PLEASE NOTE: The venue has changed to the Reaver Beach Brewery, 3800 Colley Ave, Norfolk, VA 23508 (corner of 38 St & Colley Ave).

This year marks the 236th Anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. We will participate in the National DAR Bells Across America event at 4 PM and ring bells for one minute so that they can be heard simultaneously from coast to coast. Bell ringing was often used to announce the presentation of some significant information. Announcing that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had reached agreement and a Constitution for the new Nation was the result, certainly would have been heralded with the ringing of bells. We will hand out small bells to the general public and encourage them to ring out in Celebration with us! At 4:30 PM, we will conduct Constitution trivia with the general public. 

Please plan to attend and bring your spouse, significant other, family members, and a hand bell as we try to increase the Hampton Roads community's awareness of DAR & SAR as we approach the nation's 250th anniversary.
