Details:   Color Guard muster at 9:15 am. The Henry Clay and Thomas Lee Chapters of Virginia, and the Cactus Wren and Piestewa Peak Chapters of Arizona, NSDAR, will hold a ceremony in honor of Jane Summers, wife of Revolutionary War Patriot Francis Summers. The Henry Clay and Thomas Lee Chapters, NSDAR are requesting VASSAR Color Guard Support (no firing) for this ceremony.  This event is Part II of a historic preservation project at the Summers Family Cemetery, which will return Jane Summers' headstone to her grave site.  Part I, which also involved the VASSAR (Thad Hartman and others), was to restore and return the headstone of Francis Summers to his grave site as well as to mark the cemetery with a bronze sign. That was completed in April 2022. Invitees for the June 22nd event include Vice President General Morgan Elliot, NSDAR, among others.  Reception to follow at Mason District Governmental Center, 6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA.
