 Lt. David Cox chapter will dedicate a granite stone engraved with a description of Private George Daniel Flohr’s service in the American Revolution with the Royal Deux Ponts, French Army.

The stone is located next to the church he served as Father Flohr. The dedication ceremony will feature Robert A. Selig, who is a historical consultant who received his Ph.D. in history from the Universität Würzburg in Germany in 1988.He published a number of books on the American War of Independence and was involved in the journal of Private Flohr connecting to Father Flohr of St. Johns Lutheran Church.

After the ceremony, about 12:30pm Dr. Selig will join us for lunch at the Graze on Main located in the Bolling Wilson Hotel 170 East Main Street, Wytheville, VA 24382.
