Dan River Chapter SAR

The Dan River Chapter SAR was charted on November 19, 1993 and serves as one of seven chapters in the Central Region. Our chapter members are actively supporting south central Virginia in and around the Danville and South Boston area, including Charlotte County and Halifax County towns such as Nathalie, Halifax, Scottsburg. Our namesake is centered around honoring the area's history and commemoration of the Crossing of the Dan, a pivotal moment in the history of the American Revolution.

Our chapter members are a major force in coordinating and serving on the state committee that helps to organize the annual commemoration of the Crossing of the Dan each February.
