The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter SAR was chartered in September 20, 1974 and is one of eight chapters in the Northern Region. Our chapter draws its membership from Central Piedmont area including Culpeper County and portions of eastern Madison County and northern Orange County. Our membership is open to any male descendant who can prove lineal descent from someone who aided in the American Revolutionary War.

In recent years, our chapter has won proudly five President General's Education Outreach Award and Streamers (2018–2021, 2023) for our strong support of youth and education programs in area communities.

Culpeper Minutemen: 2025 Presidential Initiative (Virginia in 1775)

On Saturday and Sunday, October 25–26, 2025, the spirited town of Culpeper will roar to life in honor of the legendary Culpeper Minutemen and their bold resolve on August 19, 1775. Witness history leap from the pages as reenactors clad in their iconic "Liberty or Death" shirts gather to commemorate the bravery and audacity of these Revolutionary War icons. This two-day celebration promises a mix of living history, community pride, and tales of courage that shaped our nation. So, dust off your colonial hats, clear your weekend, and join the festivities—it’s a Revolutionary experience you won't forget!
